Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal
The Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure (FRAP) are continuously under review resulting in recurrent changes. The LEX Group maintains a thorough understanding of the FRAP and local rules of all United States appellate courts. This comprehensive knowledge allows counsel the ability to concentrate on their arguments rather than on specific court rules. It also allows us to GUARANTEE COURT ACCEPTANCE of all documents filed.

Some of the many services The LEX Group provides:

  • GUARANTEED COURT ACCEPTANCE
  • Current and in-depth knowledge of court requirements and preferences
  • Notification of court dictated timelines/deadlines
  • Assemblage of appendices according to FRAP and local rule requirements, including the development of the Table of Contents, pagination and cover composition
  • Appendix preparation with in 24 hours (for appendices under 1000 pages)
  • Advance review of briefs for Rule compliance
  • Formatting of briefs in accordance with the Rules and for aesthetics
  • Merging multiple counsel consolidated briefs
  • Composition of Table of Contents and Table of Authorities
  • Preparation of Certificates
  • Duplicate, bind, file and serve required documents
  • Immediate confirmation of filing and service

Appropriate formatting of briefs is a significant aspect of our guarantee of court acceptance. However, we go well beyond just meeting court mandated guidelines when formatting briefs. We generate the Table of Contents and Authorities upon request. Tables that are prepared by counsel are reviewed for Blue BookTM standards, typographical errors, missing and/or incorrect page references and for spacing. We insert dot leaders and make sure that the justification is consistent and correct. The entire brief is examined for "widows and orphans", heading inconsistencies, spacing and justification. Upon approval of counsel, all inconsistencies are corrected to obtain an aesthetically pleasing, coherent brief. Our commitment to excellence is evident in every brief we file. This is where we shine the brightest.

"Thank you again for all of your assistance on our brief. Being able to give the brief to your knowledgeable Group made a burdensome task much easier."
